As many people know, I am a huge fan of Podio. It is all about creative workflow support. Its that simple.
I have no personal or financial stake in Podio. But I do know incredibly useful stuff when I see it, and I try to only talk about such things when I actually use them regularly.
So the problem to solve in this workflow example is a universal one:
You have a family member in assisted living, or anywhere, a friend, colleague--anyone you want to connect with and its not just FaceTiming each other. The workflow is more than that.
They need to go to one address, one place, same link, like a virtual front porch in order to meet with you
Once there, they need something simple that automatically notifies you of their intention to meet and that process needs to take them immediately into your video chat WAITING ROOM.
At the same time, YOU need to be notified (as the podio popup alert on your phone or computer will do) so that you can either start up a meeting and let them in from the waiting room, or be able to text/email them back if you are not available right now.
So this page opens a web form that accomplishes all this. It is nothing more than a creative use of a very versatile thing called a Podio app and all its enabling features
